The Cowgirls are the women’s basketball team of the University of Wyoming, an NCAA Division I team competing in the Mountain West Conference. They have a proud tradition of excellence and have brought home several conference championships over the years.

In recent years, the Cowgirls have continued to build on their success under the guidance of head coach Gerald Mattinson. In the 2019-2020 season, the team finished with a record of 17-13 overall and qualified for the WNIT.
