Dallas Wings Tickets

The Dallas Wings are a professional basketball team that currently plays in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 1997 as the Detroit Shock, the team moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2010 before settling in Dallas, Texas in 2016.

The Wings have had some success in their relatively short history, making it to the playoffs in four of their five seasons since relocating to Dallas. In their best season to date, 2019, they finished with a record of 10-6 and made it to the second round of the playoffs before being eliminated by the Seattle Storm.

One of the standout players on the Wings is guard Arike Ogunbowale. Ogunbowale was drafted by the Wings in the first round of the 2019 WNBA Draft after a successful college career at Notre Dame. Off the court, the Wings have been involved in a number of social justice initiatives. In 2020, the team became the first professional sports team to partner with When We All Vote, a non-profit organization aimed at increasing voter turnout. They also hosted a discussion panel on racial equality and police reform with local community leaders.

Despite their relatively short history, the Dallas Wings have quickly established themselves as a competitive team in the WNBA. With young, talented players like Arike Ogunbowale and a strong commitment to social justice, the Wings are a team to watch in the coming years.
